5Really Nice FitJan 12, 2009
By Achilles "careerwriter"
This mens yoga pant is great for doing yoga and daily stretch routine when the weather gets too chilly for shorts. Snug, yet loose enough that you don't feel like your overly "revealed" around the girls in yoga class. Nice soft cotton, just the right amout of stretchy-ness. Very good quality yoga pant.

5Great Yoga PantsDec 28, 2007
By J. S. McLain
These pants are perfect for yoga. They are a great fit and stretch just the right amount for all of the asanas we do in my class. They are also attractive enough that you can wear them to the grocery store. The fact that they are made with organic cotton is a karmic plus. The only down side is no real pocket.

1Sizing not accurateJan 22, 2010
By Jeff D.
I purchases a large men's Momentum Pant for yoga. The material seems quite nice, but the sizing of the pants makes them unworkable. The length is a good 6 inches more than advertised. I am 6 feet tall, and the pants cover the soles of my feet! I am very disappointed with this purchase.

2Well constructed, but some issuesOct 13, 2011
By Gary Coffrin
I was impressed when I first received the pant. The fabric feels nice and looks great! The fabric is a bit heavier than that of a heavy t-shirt. After wearing the prAna Momentum several times, I have lowered my rating and I hope my comments help you.

When holding up my size medium, I could immediately see that the inseam was long, really long. The inseam measured 36 inches. And, after repeated washings the inseam still measures 33.5 inches. The fabric stretches significantly, and with that stretch it is hard not to have the pant cuff under your foot. Unless you are well above 6 feet tall, be prepared to have alternations performed if you buy size medium. (A closed elastic bottom is more forgiving of a long inseam, but this pant as an open cuff without elastic.)

The Momentum uses a simple 4 panel design. There are no added panels in the crotch area; the pant depends on the stretch of its Spandex for fit. The pant's shape is odd. The front rise measures 15+ inches, and the rear rise measures the same. (For comparison, a pair of regular jeans usually has raise measurements of 12 inches front and 15 inches rear.) To me, the pant feels and looks too high in front. Every gym pant and short I own has a lower rise in front than back.

The pant has a front key pouch and no other pockets, which seems appropriate for mat work. The pant is well constructed, but the fabric does begin to pill after 5 or 6 washings.

The waist lacks a drawstring, which I consider a big drawback. The garment is cut very generously; the size medium is almost as big as a size large. The loose fit means this garment is often sliding down, and a drawstring is needed for a secure fit. This need will become increasingly important as the pant ages and the elastic deteriorates.

Bottom line: There are not many options for guys wanting a yoga pant, and I would rate the pant higher if the inseam were true to spec and if the pant had a drawstring. That said, this pant might be an OK option if you are willing to have alternations done and understand the the pant is very large for its size.

An option to consider: I ended up trying my old Reebok running tights, which I now prefer for mat work. The cut is more anatomical and more true to size than the prAna Momentum. Perhaps Amazon or your local sporting goods or running store will have tights in a light-weight fabric that will suit your needs. Good luck in your search.

5Love this pant -- they are indeed long, thoughOct 18, 2011
By Old West Traditions
Thanks to previous reviewers, I learned that these run long, and they weren't kidding. Since I am tall, I often have to buy things in larger waist sizes than I would like in order to get the legs to be long enough. Not with this pant -- thanks to the reviews, I was able to get a great fit. This is a dream pant for someone who wants something long, but without having it be baggy. I will probably be buying another one.

Also, unlike some other Prana pants, they do indeed not have pockets (again, just as other reviewers have mentioned,) so I don't wear them out and about, and one shouldn't buy them hoping to use them for that purpose unless one has other plans for what to do with keys, etc. They are great for home workouts and lounging.
