Price PerformerJan 09, 2011
By Darren Goodman This is a great bag. I had this in Oklahoma with temps in the low 30s and I was snug. The only thing I would really change about it is if it was smaller. It is bulky for how I wish to use it which is in backpacking and I have been considering switching it out of my gear. I purchased some therm-a-rest straps through Amazon and I cinch it down tight in criss cross fashion. This makes it small enough to fit in my pack okay but it is still a little bulky. Weight wise I see 4.1 pounds online. I am not personally sure how heavy it is. For 10x the price I am sure I could get one smaller and lighter but I think there are other things I would rather have. I am looking to maybe replace it with the Kelty Cosmic Down 20-Degree Sleeping Bag it is filled with down 550 fill. Higher quality fill is much much more money wise but the higher quality means more fluffy and less fill required to get the same amount of temperature performance. I will likely stay with the Wenzel for my next outing.
It is plenty room for me. I am 5"9' 160.

Price is great!Jun 09, 2011
By Ruby Description said, 20 degree sleeping bag. But it was more likely 45 degree. Good for warm season camping! Other than that, it is a nice, comfortable bag!

Warm sleeping bag for car campingOct 13, 2011
By Shishin Yamada Have used it about 4 nights total since got it this month. Lowest temp 50F. Realistically, prob good to 40F. Got it on sale for $23, with free shipping (why did the price go up and free shipping disappear suddenly???).
My son adores this bag, despite being only 48 lbs, and often have to unzip it to keep child from over-heating. I have very broad shoulder at 6'1", so I find that this mummy-bag style a bit tight at my shoulders (our first that's not a rectangular bag). It does make a very good child/tween/teen sleeping bag.
I concur with other reviewers that it's a bit bulky for backpacking, and not quick nor as easy to roll up (nothing a bit of lightweight velcro or elastric strap can't fix). I am using it for tent camping, and so luckily, I never have to carry it very far.
