5Good tent great sizeMay 10, 2011
By Joeyoung25
I just slept in this tent for the first time 3 days ago and Im very impressed, the size is very compact and comes in a nice carrying bag. It is extremely easy to set up. I was worried about condensation so I left the door open all night and only had the screen closed, there was no condensation under my heavy sleeping bag when I woke up and no condensation on the walls. the ventilation is decent but the vent at the foot could have been a little bigger. My brother bought the wenzel starlight which is almost identical to this tent other than the starlight has a larger vent at the foot and a nylon zippered bag rather than the heavier canvas like bag with the current, and of course the colors a different. The floors in both tents are the same nylon, I was expecting something a little more heavy duty but the floor is the same fabric as the walls of the tent which is probably to save weight and a little space. I am going to take my chances and not put anything under the tent and I dont use a sleeping pad. the only thing I wish I had was a camp pillow because my neck was a little sore when I woke up but thats not the tents fault.
Overall I like the tent and the price is great. If this tent ever gets a hole in it or tears for some reason Ill just buy another cause their cheap, I spent more on gas and food than I did on the tent.

3Will use again, but...Aug 15, 2011
By Nikki Picky
I bought this tent because it is light weight and I planned to take it backpacking with my husband. It says it's a 2 person tent, and technically, it is. However, we were crowded in there together (I'm 5'5" 115 lbs and my husband is 6' 180 lbs).

We did go camping in August so yes, it was warm but man did it get hot in that tent! We kept the door open, with the screen part zipped closed to keep the bugs out. The vent at the other end is worthless in my opinion. It's a tiny triangle at the very top so NO AIR FLOW WHATSOEVER! Perhaps in different weather, this tent would have been fine for two people, but when you're dripping sweat, the last thing you want is to touch/stick to someone else.

The other thing I wasn't thrilled about is how difficult it is to get in and out of. You literally have to crawl pretty much. I guess I didn't pay attention to the part of the description that said it only stands 36 inches tall. The overhang and cord that you stake down at that end gets in the way of getting in and out.

On the other hand, it is a good tent for the price. We bought it because we were just beginning to backpack/camp and weren't sure if we would like it yet so we didn't want to spend a lot of money. It doesn't take up much room in my husband's backpack so that's another plus. It's very simple to set up and tear down. You can do it in just a few minutes. We will be using it again on more trips; I just hope it's not as hot next time! :]

5Very cool for backpacking and (motor) biking.Jul 04, 2011
By Rick "Rick Andrews"
Man this ten is neat. Very small when stored in it's case and just the right size for straping to your backpack or bike. Very roomy for one adult but can fit a second person if you want to be cozy or if in need. I plan to waterproof the tent because there is not an included rainfly and I don't trust the tent shell to keep a heavy rain out. I live and camp in Colorado and just about every night it rains in the mountains. Enjoy.

5This is a great thing for bums like meMar 20, 2012
By Frogleghorn
I used this for six months while living as a homeless bum for 6 months. With a little water repelant spray, it held up. Now that my broke behind got a job and section 8, I don't need it anymore-well at least for now unless I get evicted.

3It's a tent...Oct 08, 2011
By realmccoy
Not a bad tent, not a great tent. I've only used this tent two times, but I am already shopping for something better. My main problem with this tent is how difficult it is to get inside. You have to enter it prone, which is kind of a pain because you drag leaves and dirt in with you. I also do not like that the bottom is made of the same material as the sides of the tent, so I purchased a small tarp to pitch the tent on top of.

If you need an affordable tent and don't plan on using it a lot, this tent will suffice. It ultimately does what it's supposed to do, provide shelter. The rain-proofing seems to be acceptable; survived a small shower with no leakage.
