Lightweight But SturdySep 10, 2010
By J. C. Little A perfect set of tough little stakes made from titanium. This metal is durable, will not corrode and will stun you once you hold them. They feel like you're holding a set of six soda straws as opposed to six metallic stakes. While they may be featherweight, they are tougher than it gets, and I've had the opportunity to use them in a variety of soils including the sand and rock of Iraq.
They held up beautifully securing my portable solar panel from Brunton from the high winds of the Iraqi desert, and equally so in the clay and rocky soil of Fort Riley Kansas. Other reviewers will tell you to look into different styles depending on where you plan to camp. I say this is excellent advice, never trust your safety to something you haven't researched fully. What I can say is these have served me well everywhere I have used them, and they are well worth the price plus the weight you save in your pack. Now if only i could find a packable titanium hammer haha....

Good item, held firm (though not tested in too much wind) and the orange color helps locate them when you forget where you set them down!
Titanium Shepard's Hook StakesNov 28, 2011
By hikerjohn Nice sturdy stakes. Have been using them for years. Just purchased these for a Christmas gift. Very light and stronger than the alumunum ones that I have been using. A little expensive, but well worth the weight differance. Shave those ounces when packing light!

Liightweight and flimsyOct 03, 2011
By Carl marcus The stakes are light but are easily bendable and probably will be not usable in anything but soft soil without rocks.
