Texsport Reinforced Rip-Stop Polyethylene Tarp (Camouflage, 8 x 10-Feet)Feb 08, 2012

All in all a good product.
Quite lightweight but this suits my purposes. I purchased this tarp for a shelter when things turn ugly while camping, so I'm not too concerned if it breathes or not, nor about minor leaks. I have tried it out in light winds & it holds up fine.
Just be aware this is a light weight tarp, it will not withstand severe conditions.
There are heavier tarps here on Amazon, but I require a light tarp for hiking. I have a US Army 4pc Modular Sleep System & Gortex Bivy Cover which is awesome, the tarp is basically just my kitchen/wet weather shelter. 2 thumbs up.

Does what it's for at a good priceJun 27, 2011
By Kevin The tarp is perfectly serviceable as a temporary one man shelter. I use cheap tent stakes and line to run it between two trees. Perfect size (8x10) for a double bottomed tube and the multiple grommets allow me to pin it down at all ground contact edges.
Camo tarp does not coverMay 10, 2012
By Patrick S I have been looking for a camo tarp for my back pack for emergencies in the field. I wanted a light weight camo and saw this one. The camo is fine, but the workmanship was poor. The seams were uneven and did not run the entire lenght of the tarp. The eyelets were already ripping away from the tarp (hard to tie down with out them) and the rope seam are only string. So! back to the hunt for a good tarp. I would not recommend this tarp for your field gear. It is ok to throw over your BBQ or yard furniture, but that is about it.
