Just good enough to be use as a observation blindOct 28, 2007

I bought this tent last year, hoping to use it as a camping tent and observation blind. However once it was set up, I realised that the sewing job is really bad. Many seam is not well sew and goes out of the line.
All the seam are also not sealed and it will certainly leak during rain. If you want to seal up like what I am doing, the job will take you half a day and 3.5oz of seam sealer. There are 3 poles that come along, but all are not well glued, some joints came loosen and you need to stick them back or risk losing it. The poles measured to be 27.25" when folded and that will be the length for your packed size.
The tent will be nice for 2 persons with enough space for a dog or backpack. however if you want to sleep 3 persons, you will need to squeezed like a sandwich without any room for your gears.
There is only one mesh window and a mesh ceiling. The ventilation is fine without the fly and window upzipped, but if everything is closed up, proper ventilation will be impossible during summer.
Overall this single wall tent is still good enough as as a observation blind or leisure camping tent with minor improvisation. The tent materials are the same as those economy tents sold in walmart, but Im impressed with the camouflage pattern which is an excellence design to blend into a woods environment.
However if you need a good tent for more serious outdoor trekking trip, stay away from this and look for something better.

Quality control is the issueApr 26, 2010
By mrmom Overall, the tent is fine for it's intended purpose: a cheap piece of crap intended for one time OR infrequent use. Just a heads up - nowhere in any of its dimensions does this tent approach 6'8". I'm 6'3" and slept in a fetal the entire trip. (worse than you're thinking... This is far from my first rodeo.)
Before we ever left, I did the pre-requesite "pre-setup" just to make sure things were kosher. All seemed good. I managed to miss the row of errant stitching holes that ran up side of the tent. Bad deal. To it's credit, it performed well til the hard rain set in..... and the temp dropped into the thirties..... Truthfully, I'd give this tent a four if it wasn't responsible for my having a relatively serious survival situation on my hands.
The shock corded poles are a little sloppy, still a four considering the price. Zippers are pretty good, rainfly fits fine, all in all pretty good. Despite the holes in the back, it did fine 'til we got to the hard rain. If it wasn't such an easily fixable problem, ignored by whoever put it together, I wouldn't feel so vindictive about it. Last night at about three o clock, the title for this review would have been, "Whoever's responsible for this should be shot. TWICE."

Ok tent, but not a great one.Nov 01, 2009

I got this tent because it said it was a 3 person tent, in camouflage. Well, it is a camouflage tent, but the 3 persons part is a joke. Maybe three people if you are all children. If this were a larger tent it would be great, but I can't even lay down in it. I'm 6'2" so a smallish size tent just won't work. Oh, well, it will be fine for my kids to play in. Oh, and the bag, forget getting the tent back in there. Set up and take down are pretty easy, and the seams seem well sealed.

dont bother wasting the time or the moneyJan 09, 2012
By jewce This tent is not what it seems. Says three person maybe up-close spooning. The tent came ripped on top on the screen, theres a reason its less than 40 bucks.

Birthday presentAug 09, 2009
I bought this tent for my 9 YO grandson. There was a tent anchor missing when they attempted to put the tent up. I called Texsport at the Customer Service number and talked with a very nice man who sent out not one, but two, which we received in the mail in just a few days. They are very responsive. My grandson loves the tent. Even though he claims he will sleep in it all night, he always goes back in the house. Great tent for the money, and camo like the kids want !
