I have used this mat almost everytime I've been outdoors. I haven't seen anything like it at any department store and its much cheaper than the mats at the beachside boutiques. It is an awesome value for the price.

After years of using just a beach towel on the beach we now have 2 of these great beach mats.
After our summer vacation last year I noticed a family with a beach mat the folds up and has handles. After a quick search on the internet I found these and we really enjoyed using them on our recent vacaton in Destin Florida.
There were many different patters to pick from and that was the hardest part.
