Almost as comfortable as my bedSep 17, 2003
By bixodoido When I'm going on a family camping trip where there is no packing involved and all I have to do is set up the tent and gear, I always take along this Coleman flocked Queen size bed for my wife and I. It is pretty easy to inflate (especially with the Quickpump), and is so comfortable I sometimes almost forget I'm sleeping on the ground. We also use this mattress a lot at home when we have lots of company and don't have enough beds to go around. My one complaint with this bed, and one which I have heard others share, is that it is not big enough. It is supposed to be a queen size bed, but it just doesn't seem as large as our queen size bed at home. Aside from this minor complaint, however, the Coleman flocked mattress has served me well. In fact, I slept on one for the first month I was away from home at college, and was still satisfied with its comfort after sleeping on it for over four weeks.

well worth itMay 20, 2005
By L. Giffin I originally bought this air mattress for camping. I got it after having a problem with another brand that did not thave the double air lock. I have never had a problem with deflation while I was using it. I recently had a change in my marital status and in my "bedding" and I am now using this air mattress every night, and find it as comfortable as a regular bed. I am glad I made this purchase.

"firenite"
when my waterbed heater broke about 2 years ago i couldn't afford a new one so i bought a cheap air bed. it developed a hole i couldn't find and lost air very quickly. since i needed a new bed i checked prices and reviews on all of them. this bed got rave reviews from the people who had one so i bought it. it was affordable. i sleep on it every night and it's amazingly comfortable. the suede top keeps me warm on cold nights. i had a minor problem filling it. the double lock valve leaked a lot of air when i pulled the pump out so i tried something new and it worked. i just push in the first part of the valve with the pump and then close the top. no air leakage. i did have to add air after the first few nights but that's expected. i sleep on it and so do my cats. it does not lose air and it's so comfortable i can sleep all night. definitely worth the money.

"Ok" purchase...Jan 01, 2008
By JK2512 I purchased this for many reasons, one being that this was an "all in one" with the pump and "wrap n roll" storage, etc... which I could not find on the shelf at the stores. This was an "ok" purchase. But I would spend more on a better bed and purchase the pump separately... just to not have to be re-filling the bed with air consistently. I sent the first one back (my friends had to wake up in the middle of the night to re-fill the bed with air) and the replacement was better, but it leaked too (but you can't hear the leak... it just goes flat... the replacement would last a day rather than needing overnight refills). I've never been disappointed with ANYTHING Coleman prior to this purchase. I wish I could say it is better than it is, but it's just "ok" for the product and the price. Probably worth paying more or checking another product line (I also thought this would be a better purchase based on other reviews... everyone else seemed to have better luck with this than I did... maybe a 3rd try would have been a charm?).

Easy to set up, more comfortable than previous modelsJul 22, 2008

"In the end, what matters is that you LIVE."
I purchased this air mattress kit a few weeks ago, and I'm very happy with it. The chambered design provides a sturdy sleep surface that is much firmer than the old-style tube mattresses. With the older models, even after filling the mattress completely, one could put a knee down in the middle of it and feel the hard ground beneath. Coleman seems to have alleviated this with this newer model -- when it's pumped up, it's an actual firm mattress.
The battery-powered pump that comes with it seems dinky, being not much bigger than the four D cell batteries that are required to operate it, but it fills the entire mattress in less than a minute. If you've ever stood around stomping on one of those manual foot pumps for fifteen minutes, you'll really appreciate this little pump.
The lock valve works well when the pump is removed, too. This gives the user a chance to actually screw the cap on, instead of fumbling around trying to screw it in while the bed deflates.
Storage is easy. With its built-in sling bag and simple directions, just deflate, fold, role, and tie. Ta-da! Done, and it takes up about as much room as a small laptop computer bag.
A good, comfortable air mattress for those who are a little past the age where a quarter inch of foam will suffice.
