Served the Purpose!Jan 15, 2007
By Barbara L. Cook Upon first examination this portable camp toilet seemed flimsy and fragile. But after a camp trip with my son, who is at least 350 pounds, I was sold on its durability and complete steadiness on soft soil. It is a great addition to my camping musts and I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

Rockin toillet!Sep 12, 2007
By ny mom I have overactive bladder and do not want to walk 10 minutes to the bathrooms when we camp every 15 mintues especially at night. This potty is pretty durable, I weigh about 190 lbs and it holds me very well. The only thing is I recommend placing some kind of bucket under the bag as a "just incase" it is a good product though.

A Must Have Piece of Equipment !Dec 20, 2009

I am a camper, survivalist, from way back. Solo Mountain Man. I use a Full Frame Pack. I am Base Camp 1. I carry Everything but food. The Heavy Man. I Break Camp. Pack II carries all the extras. There is camping and there is camping. I prefer to camp where no man or woman has gone before. And there is "Roadside Camping" with people about. This type of toilet seat was given to me as a gift 45 years ago. It was the Greatest Invention! I may not take it all the way up a mountain with me, but Basic Camp and weekend stuff it is fantastic. When you bush it, there are not many options. Holding a small tree in front of you is best. Or Squat uncomfortably. I have tried sitting on logs, etc...50 years, Nothing works great. This portable, "Comfortable", Seat is ready to go when you are ready to go. :) I dig a small hole with my pack shovel and use the "Seat". I then Cover the dig over and I am ready to purify my hands and move out. Construction work. Construction Work again, primitive but Functional. No water, electric, etc... The Portable House is either not there or Filthy. I use the bag in more social situations. The bags used to be Blue and Real Heavy Duty. I could not give a high enough praise for this product. Trust me. This is the campers friend. No buckets or mess. In the bush, you would never know anyone had been there.

Great product!Aug 10, 2010
By T. Hale Original item arrived broken but Amazon quickly picked up & refunded. I found same item locally since our camping trip was just a few days away. We had 8 adults and 9 kids all using this toilet. We did not use the bags but instead dug holes and sat the toilet above the hole, filling it in with dirt after use. This product feels flimsy but holds up wonderfully. We had adults as large as 300 pounds using this with no complaints.

Good and SturdyMay 31, 2011
By TWU I was so skeptical of this product, but after reading the review I decided to try it, after all it was just $20. Well it got here and I thought good lord, this will never hold one of my family members who weighs over 300 pounds. Well to my surprise it did. It is very strong and sturdy. My only draw back is there is not a lid or any kind of covering to put over it after use. Also, I recommend using plain black trash bags with kitty litter to absorb all moisture, and to put a bucket under the bag in the event it gives way. For tent campers, I definitely recommend buying this product. Portable Camp Toilet - Camping Commode
