Sturdy, simple, and inexpensive stakes for a variety of usesJun 14, 2011

While we have used these for our tent, we originally bought and primarily use them for our Slip 'n' Slide and Christmas lawn decorations. Although they're plastic, they are just as sturdy as metal ones and we like the fact that they're thicker at the bottom than others we've used. They've worked perfectly for all of our purposes.
Bend way too easilyDec 25, 2011
By squashy I've used plastic tent stakes in the past, but these ones suck. Don't bother getting them, save the effort and wasted money by getting some nicer quality ones. They broke and bent on the first use.

Initial qualitySep 09, 2011
By JoeS Haven't used yet, but they look good and sturdy. Nice and long so it'll keep your tent stable. Looks like they will hold up and will use them for further review when in the fall, when the weather gets right. For price, they are good.
Best bang for the buckAug 10, 2011
By Kyle Buckley I hate aluminum stakes. While being pounded into the ground, if they hit anything bigger than a grain of sand, they bend.
Having tried several other stakes, these Stansport - Tent Stakesare the best bang for the buck. Long, strong, they won't twist in the ground and they keep your tent or other gear secure. I've bought 8 packs of these to replace all my craptacular aluminum stakes.
The only downside is that they are large and take up more space in bags than aluminum stakes, but for me the tradeoff is worth it.
