4Very good ... NOT greatFeb 25, 2008
By J. Pelzer "Course Marshal Jay"
This product works as advertised with no problems. However, the face plate points up at about a fixed 45-degree angle. All that gets heated are one's hands and face. (I used "one's" because the round face plate can only be aimed toward one person at a time.) The face plate should be adjustable. None the less, this heater sure makes it much nicer getting through an 8-hour shift as a golf course marshal on a cold day. And just one bottle of propane makes it through an entire shift.

4Heater works!Jan 13, 2009
By Frederick L. Ayer
THis heater works as advertised. The only problem I had was that the cup adapter fits only the small diameter cupholders. In my cart these are only on the sides right by the cart cover - not good. You want this heater mounted in the approximate center of the dash board area. I had to make an adapter for the adapter to fit the larger cupholders there in my Club Car. Then I ran a bungie cord from the mirrors at each end of the dash and thru the handle of the heater. Works like a charm! I usually use it on low and with the side panels of the cart cover up. Not efficient, but it keeps the chill off when it is not too awfully cold. For the really cold mornings, zipping down the side covers and the heater on high will keep the interior very warm if not hot!

1INSTABILITY of coleman golf cart heaterJan 02, 2010
By Valerie E. Weinstein "Sunseeker"
Dangerous because it has a tendancy to pop out of the golf cart cup holder when going over bumps on the course. (it is very top heavy) Even with wrapping something around the bottom of the cup that it comes with to attempt to make it fit more snugly in the cart's cupholder. Additionally the heater aims too high and only will heat hands and possible face and that is only for the person in the cart that it is pointed at. I noticed in another review that someone had to "jerry-rig" the heater with bungie cords. I would venture to guess that Coleman ought to come up with some SAFEGUARDS and definite ways to stabilize this unit in ones cart! It hit my passenger when it popped out, hitting her leg and giving it a little hot scorch but thank goodness not BURNING or SCARRING her leg! (this time!!) We certainly would like to find a SAFE and EFFECTIVE Heater that one does not see flames emitted etc. (we tried the less expensive Piezo Heater but there one sees flames AND the metal grate in front appears to be too open whereby if one inadvertantly puts their hand thru it they could be in serious trouble burnwise. On that one, the metal grate that is supposed to protect one from harm probably should be more like the coleman's front. So WHO makes the best & safest "mousetrap"...i.e. heater??

5Keeping Warm on the Golf CourseDec 21, 2009
By Virginia Allain "(retired librarian)"
We got this for the few really chill mornings on Florida's golf courses. It didn't fit quite right in the cupholder, so we put some padding around it and that did the trick.
It puts out heat as soon as it's turned on. With the flaps down on the cart, the interior becomes cosy pretty quickly. Sure helps when it's only 50 degrees and a chill wind is blowing. Just get into the cart and warm up the hands before the next shot.
The unit is fairly big, so it doesn't leave much room on the golf cart dash for other things like your drinks, sun glasses, etc. We knew someone that had his on the floor stand in the golf cart. It got too near to the seat and sort of melted the vinyl seat cover. Watch out for that... this gets hot and you need to take precautions not to have it too close to anything.

5Keeps you cozy and warmDec 20, 2009
By William Barker
We live in Las Vegas and believe it or not, it gets very chilly in the winter months. We ordered this heater and have had absolutely no regrets. It takes a little time to actually heat up to full heat level, but once it does it keeps the interior of our cart very warm and cozy. We use it with our cart cover doors open and it still maintains a very warm interior, I am sure if you kept your cart cover doors closed, this heater would actually be too warm. I would strongly recommend this to any winter time golfers that want to keep your hands warm and extend your golfing season. Great price and a great product. The only negative I can see is that it sometimes is a little difficult to ignite and you really cant determine if it is lit or not other than putting your hand in front to feel the heat.
