Great for the priceMar 23, 2011
By Erick I'll start by saying this: "first time camper". I thought this might be a difficult task to build this tent, I was wrong. The wife and I took about 20 minutes or so putting this tent together in the rain. So this should give you an idea of how easy it is to assemble. This was perfect for my first camping experience.
Now as far as the space available once inside is unbelievable, I am 6 feet tall and my wife is 5' 8". I was able to stand up in this tent. We had an inflatable queen size bed with two medium size suitcases, a 10 gallon water container, a box approx size of 3 x 3 and a few other supplies and we were able to still get around once inside. It has two separate front zipper doors that open and close with ease and a the option of placing a divider in the tent if needed for another couple or kids.
It has two small storage compartments built into the inside to place keys or your cell phone to keep them off the floor of the tent, which was a great bonus for not letting me lose them. Great air ventilation, and held up nice during rain with no leaks; straight out of the box!
The privacy in this tent is good; you can't see anything from the outside in, unless you leave your zipper door open. One other option I have to say was unexpected was the door's have a second zipper built into it to open from the inside to look outside with a mesh to keep the bugs out. Also has two mud flaps in front of both doors.
I don't know about 6 people fitting in this unless it is for survival reasons, but I believe you could probably fit 4 people in this tent and be comfortable.
So in all, I have nothing bad to say about this product as it was exactly what I was expecting if not better.

TentApr 01, 2011
By Kerri It was an alright tent for the price. A lot of space, but the mesh on the walls was a little excessive. It could have started a little higher from the base allowing for more privacy. While we camped we had some rain and the tent did leak from the floor a tiny bit but it wasn't that bad. Also there were no windows except for the two on the doors which was a little annoying. Our friends brought a Coleman tent and we liked theirs better. I'll be buying a Coleman one next time.

great dealMay 06, 2011
By tuffy Have owned several tents, none as inexspensive as this one. Withstood a stormfront that blew for two straight days, 50mph gusts with hardcore rain. No leaks and held up well against the wind. Did use my own tent pegs, the ones supplied were those cheap wire ones. The mesh is a bit excessive but in the summer it'll be great. Did not come with a carring bag which was a pain. Amazon delivered it in one day using standard shipping. Very fast. Poles are standard fiberglass, but I've seen smaller diameter on much more exspensive tents. the small entrance mat is useless in my opinion.

2 adults and 3 kidsAug 12, 2011
By JB My first camping experience and I went with my wife and three kids (9,10,14 years old). It poured for about 2 hours and we stayed completely dry! Very impressed! I set the tent up in about 30 minutes(my first time) and had no porblems. Next time it should take no time at all. Very pleased and would recommend to all. We had a blow up queen size mattress and 3 sleeping bags and we were cozy with room left over for gear.

Mountain Trails Salmon River 11- by 11Apr 29, 2011
By Amfyr Not a first time camper, ex military and scouts. Rated it only 4 stars cause we havent camped yet and there was no bag for the tent. We car camp 3-6 times yr at a hilly campground, Honolulu, Hawaii, but might occasionally do beach camp outs. Here we camp year round, hot humid summers and rains/wind/humidity in Spring and what passes for Winter. Last time we camped in November, it poured rain for 2 days and 2 nights w/winds and gusts up to 60-70mph. It let up just when we needed to pack up. Setup had been in the pouring rain. Good times! Camping is about the outdoors, including rain. We DO expect it as we live in a tropical climate and go to the "hills" for the breeze! Our 25yr old tent kept us dry but we did get cold and felt the damp and the wind was making the tent "sway". Tents back then were made thinner and not designed as streamlined as they are now. Time to donate it. After taking 6 months+ looking at tents from all brands including Coleman, offerings from REI, Eureka [all too short], Eddie Bauer, Alps, Kelty [short], etc., you name it I looked at it, finally decided to try this brand because-
1. Family capacity tent but not a mini van! 2. Only interested in models you could stand up in 3. Wanted a dome style as opposed to cabin in case of heavy winds and a smaller footprint for hilly terrain 4. Needed 3 season, good air flow for 60-90/100' temp and high humidity, winds up to 60mph+, rain w/wind & gusts 5. Decent door that could open and close easily w/one hand 6. Some type of "eave" above the door, good rainfly w/coverage in windy conditions 7. Substantial feel, not just thin ripstop 8. Tub style, floor seam higher than a few inches off the ground [for when it REALLY rains], not necessarily made of tarplike fabric 9. Price not over $120ish
Am pleased w/the purchase although havent gone camping yet. Did open it up in the yard and its as expected. Nice colors too! Not some tacky fluorescent "heres my tent" better put on your sunglasses, colors. Hubby was impressed and he didnt swear while he was doing the trial run setting it up. I would say it will fit 3 very comfortably unless you all have air mattresses and gear, otherwise 2 w/space to spare. Zipper doors feel sturdy as compared to others on the market except for the Coleman w/the door which sadly was too much at around$140. Setup was fine. No bag for the tent or poles. This is good and bad. Easy to pack it up in a duffel or other waterproof bag. If you are outdoor people, you already have something lying around. If not, then you need to get something. At least you wont have to worry about folding it just right to put it back into its too small bag! For the price, this was too good to pass up. One problem, this tent was damn hard to find! On numerous searches for 3 man tents and various other specifics on Amazon, this tent never came up. I found it elsewhere and had to search by name/brand on Amazon to find it. Amazon has the best pricing when you consider Super Saving Shipping which is a MUST when you are in Hawaii. Looking forward to the test run. Hope it rains like hell so I can really put it thru its paces! =]
