Looks good, once you lose the stickersJun 09, 2009
By El Oscuro Once you get rid of the 27 "disk brake equipped" stickers, it looks good. I got this from Amazon, and setting it up was tricky. I am familiar with working on bikes, and getting all of the gears and breaks adjusted correctly proved a challenge.
After I finally got it set up, I found the big knobby tires slowed me down a lot on pavement. So I got a set of Forte Greenways ($20/pair) which are lighter and work a lot better on pavement, while retaining decent grip for tougher terrain.

I really like this bikeSep 01, 2010
By M. McIver I bought this bike a few months ago mainly to ride back a forth to work (about a mile each way) but I like riding it so much I find myself looking for excuse to ride it more. The 21 gears change smoothly, the brakes work really well and are quiet. The seat is even fairly comfortable and the dual suspension gives a good ride. I really like the way it looks and I get compliments on it too, so I guess I am not the only one that thinks that. I had it assembled so I cannot comment on the instructions. I am not a avid cyclist and I know it does not compare to the really expensive bikes those kind of people ride but for exercise and fun riding you cannot beat it.

Can't beat the priceMay 05, 2010
By Kelly Vander Woude It's been quite a few years since I owned a bike and thus I was a little hesitant going from a $700 bike (previous one) down to one that was less than $300...but I'm happy. I'm not an expert biker or one that is planning on doing anything but leisurely stuff so this works well.
The only "changes" I plan to make are to get some smoother tires for the road (these are pretty rough) and the only real "issue" I have is the lack of space to put anything thus I will have to carry a small backpack that I can keep my lock, pump, repair kit, etc. with me on.
The instructions on putting this together also were pretty lacking. Even though it's self explanatory I did have to refer to a picture once.

Wish someone else would have assembled mineJan 31, 2010

"Trident"
Picked this bike up for about a hundred bucks (cheaper than most) about six months ago, and now it's sitting in my garage until I feel like shelling out a bunch of money. Firstly, I don't know why anyone would pay more than I did for a "mountain" bike with a sticker on it that says "not meant for off road use." Mine was put together by a dept store employee. Had problems basically from the get go, the left crank would loosen up, the brakes are horrible, and just a few weeks ago the freewheel broke. After having a free estimate done at the local bike shop they told me it would be about $150 ($70 for parts) to get it back to par. Though I did not baby this bike, I took fairly good care of it. Other than a couple days on the trails, I would casually ride around town every other day. All in all, I learned a lot of maintenance and lessons for when I buy a true mountain bike.
As advertisedJan 18, 2012
By L. Ozbey Looks good, but have some brake issues. That may have more to do with how we assembled it rather than the bike itself. It's a good bike!
