This is a very light weight item for backpacking-put in trunk emergency tent. Used with or without a Mylar blanket this tent can save your life.

It works great and is small and light weight. In an emergency it is something you can use, save or throw away. It is cost effective..

1Why don't they tell you how thick it is????May 25, 2012
By Frank Stallings
I have purchased serveral different varieties of these blankets and shelters. One thing that I find frustrating about them all is that the manufacturers NEVER tell you how thick (in mils) the thing is!! As an engineer, it seems odd that this fundamental property (thickness) would NOT be mentioned anywhere in their marketing material!! After all, doesn't the thickness help the buyer determine how flimsy or sturdy it is?

Just my two cents worth.....
