4Very nice tent for 4Sep 03, 2011
By mezcalfud
I shopped tents and ended up with Kelty again because of the features like the aluminum poles, dome shape and full fly. Regular multi-room familty tents are great if you have the room and the weather is nice, otherwise they are a pain and usu a pain to set up. This tent fits our family well as we don't use air matresses and all we really do in the tent is sleep (Kelty Veil House for eating and playing cards). The tent poles are typical aluminum poles and in order to snap one, it would require some effort. If you try to force things you will end up with breaks and rips. I also have a Gunnison 2.1 and their entire line is a great balance of price and quality. 2 doors and the fancy clip/hinge sytem for attaching the poles would be a plus and would have earned 5 stars.

Within 5 minutes of putting the first pole together and threading it into pocket and clips on tent, the pole snapped. It might have been bent to only a ten degree angle when it snapped! Very poor quality for the price! I returned the tent within hours of receiving it.
