SAVE BIG BUCKS! "Not all who wander are lost." Tolkien's famous quote seems to ring true for my younger days when I would throw caution to the wind and stop the car at any nice looking pad of ground or mountain view and unroll the sleeping bag. I probably would have braved it all the way through the night if my bag was rated to -15 degrees F like this baby. Because I deal directly with the maker, the middleman is out. This saves you cash. Good stuff: Oversized 39 x 90" for plenty of room; 7 lbs. fill weight of warm polyester fill insulation; Black cozy fleece lining; Olive green water-resistant rip-stop outer shell; Smooth operating zipper; Quilted stitching; Heavy-duty compression sack for compact storage. Imported. Take advantage of all of this warmth and all these features! Act Now! Guide Gear -15 degree Sleeping Bag, Green | | | Product Details: | | | Average Customer Rating:

Minus 15 Degrees Sleeping Bag (Green)Jul 18, 2008

This sleeping bag is absolutely wonderful ! I camp and it gets pretty cold at night and in the morning. This sleeping bag is extremely warm and you feel cozy and secure in it. I was going to get a duffle bag to put it in because it was so very difficult to fit the sleeping bag back in the bag it came in. This wonderful lady at a sporting goods store showed me how to do it. You don't roll it to put it in there....you stuff it it. AND IT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY! She really knew her stuff as she was a camper also. So don't roll it in there because it was put in there with a machine.....need I say more? JUST STUFF IT and it takes a few seconds to do it. Wonderful product. I highly recommend it! A+ A+ A+ A+, Thank You.

too hot?Nov 04, 2007

If you are looking for max warmth in a non-mummy bag, this is your unit.
I camp in the mountains where its cold and damp (30s to teens )and have a hard time keeping warm. Not in this baby. Its smoking hot, nice and soft with good quality zippers and workmanship. Only gripe is that it is nearly impossible to get it back into the bag it comes with. Suggest you get a big duffle otherwise you'll be frustrated repacking it. Its also pretty darn heavy but well worth it to stay warm. I am buying another asap as I gave this one as a much appreciated gift after I tried it out.
It would work well as a 3 season bag but is way too hot for summer use.

Great ProductNov 18, 2008
By Joshua C. Mabus I recently purchased two of these for my new wife and I to take on our camping honeymoon in the Southwest US.
The trip was in October and the temps got into the low teens at night and the bag was quite comfortable. I would recommend wearing heavy socks in low temps, because my feet got cold on a couple of nights (with light socks).
We bought non-mummy bags so we could zip them together (it was our honeymoon!!), but I don't recommend this. It really increases the cold spots.
When zipped up as one bag, and the hood drawn you should be comfortable down in the teens with long underwear and socks. I wouldn't make other plans if going on a trip where 15 degree or below weather is predicted.
The weather rating on most bags is SURVIVABILITY not COMFORT.

the world's greatest sleeping bag!Apr 25, 2008

My daughter is in the Navy, stationed on an aircraft carrier. The average nighttime temperature in the berthing areas is about 40 degrees! No matter how many blankets she used, she couldn't stay warm. I bought this sleeping bag for her, and now she is toasty! The sleeping bag is oversized, and so thick, it looks like someone is in it even when empty! Warm, soft, fluffy - perfect!

Super warm sleeping bagJul 07, 2008

Update to my original review: Ok, I took this bag to Burning Man where I have been cold 4 out of the 5 years I've been there. If you tend towards being cold, this sleeping bag is absolutely for you. I slept like a baby and I'm bringing it again with me this year with no reservations. I've used it several times since and not a breath of cold air disturbed me. This sleeping bag is the bomb.
I haven't tried this bag out camping yet but I did try it out in a cold and drafty room and found I was too hot and needed to unzip in the night (perfect for a cold person like me). It unzips easily to make a blanket and the zipper appears sturdy. It's bulky but I was able to get it back into its bag fairly easily. In the bag it's fatter and almost as long as my 4-person tent in its tent bag. But for car camping, should be no problem.
