5Fabulous FindJun 28, 2009

What a great little invention. I carry it as a backpack, it's lightweight and unobtrusive, while walking with the dogs in the pastures. If I find a good spot for a nap I pop open the tent and climb in for a bug-free rest. When I'm done it simply folds back up and goes into it's bag. My friends laugh at me, but who cares--I'm 65 years old and enjoy every minute of the day. My grandkids think I'm pretty smart.

5Works great and definitely covers the tent!! :)Jun 11, 2008

Just purchased the self-expandable screen tent (which works GREAT!) but wanted something more like a regular tent - because the screen tent only has mesh covering on the top portion of every side. So, purchased the self-expanded screen tent waterproof cover, also from Genji Sports, via Amazon.

This cover works great - goes right over the top of the tent and attaches with really fast and easy input plastic stakes at the bottom on all sides. The cover has a little mesh window that you can pull up the material on if you want to see some outside - but if you don't just drop down the material that velcro attaches and you have complete coverage! Also has zippers that you can open obviously from the inside as well as the outside just as a tent would.

Happy beaching or camping to you!!!

5Waterproof cover for Genji Sports Screen TentJul 22, 2011
By Eric J. Olson
I picked up this cover for the Genji Sports screen tent since I didn't want to risk getting caught in the rain somewhere. So far it has proven to be useful in some sun showers and is a perfect fit for their tent. I'd pay $17 for a waterproof cover any day when you are outdoors and need one....now I have no worries from the elements.

5saved me from the rain!Jun 09, 2011

This tent is amazing simply put, for how cheap it is... I have used it many many times in all types of weather conditions and there are no tears or damage to the material at all. If you plan on doing any actual camping with this tent then you need the waterproof cover, but even after purchasing it I think the entire package is a very good deal. It is a must have and it is a very good cover as well. On my first camping trip with this tent there was a large storm on our second night. The wind was flooring and there was rain all night long, but this tent and the cover kept us warm and dry all night long. The cover works by just throwing it over the tent and then staking it into the ground. So make sure to bring a hammer or something incase the ground is hard. I made that mistake and ended up having to retrieve the tent cover when the stakes wouldn't stay and the cover blew off again and again throughout the night. I finally used a large pot to hammer them into the ground and then the cover stayed on the rest of the night.

If you are looking to sleep 2 people very comfortably then this tent is perfect. I have slept 3 in it before, but that is a little more cramped although still very doable.

Most people I am assuming will buy this tent because of how easy it is to set up and tear down and I can attest to that fact... I freaking love that it literally takes 1-2 seconds to expand the tent and it takes about 30 seconds to a minutes to put back into it's carrying case. And you become much quicker at putting it away after just one or two uses... Trust me, buy this tent! Its awesome for light camping and perfect for any type of day trips as well.

1Not worth itAug 21, 2009

I had thought this beach tent cover would be the perfect solution to the cabana I bought that was open on one side. Theoretically I could put the cover over the tent and have perfect privacy quickly and easily. Unfortunately the only time it is easy to put the cover on and keep it on is when there is absolutely no breeze. Since the beach is always windy, the cover has not only been useless, but also problematic. It blows away easily and even the stakes will not hold it down. In addition, if it doesn't blow away, it gets blown sideways into the cabana and anyone inside the cabana feels as if they're drowning in blue nylon. Finally, if it is a calmer day and the cover does not blow away, it raises the temperature in the tent 10 degrees easily. I have yet to figure out a way to effectively use the cover. It has definitely been more hassle than help.
