Great tent, used it on 8-day motorcycle tripJun 17, 2011

After researching literally dozens of tents that I could take on a motorcycle trip, I chose this one. Took it into the mountains in June for 8-days of traveling around, and encountered a number of night storms. Didn't leak at all. Setup is a breeze for one person, takes about 5 minutes...can do it in less time if it's raining and you hurry. The dual vestibules are very nice, great place to put your boots and gear to get them out of the weather. Plenty of ventilation, and didn't have any problem with condensation inside. Keeps the bugs out just fine.
Fit in my tourpak just fine on the bike, little too long to get in the saddlebags (the fiberglass poles are a shade long). Comes with a stuff sack, not a compression sack. Simply make a ball with your tent in the morning, and stuff it in. Was able to get tent, rain fly that comes with it, and the Apex ground tarp (not included) stuffed into the carry sack with no problems. Not the lightest tent made, but it's under $100 and it works as good as the $300+ tents even if it's a pound or two heavier.
Get it, you won't regret it.

If you are just starting out - This is the tent for you.Sep 14, 2011
By Patrick Sherman I used this all summer as I haven tented in over 20+ years. Let me tell you this is the tent, it's got a rain cover that actually keeps rain out and the fly also creates on both sides covered areas to keep gear dry. The tent also features only two tent poles and clips. Bottom line you don't need to feed poles through nylon. You can put this up in less than 3 minutes if need be. Lay it out, temp stake it, insert poles, clip, clip, clip, clip and tie the top. Done. Rainfly is colored key so you know exactly how it goes on.
I love this tent so much I bought Eureka! Apex 3XT - Tent (sleeps 3) for myself and son. Don't get me wrong you could fit two people in the 2XT but it's without a clothing bag and other tent gear. If you use an air mattress like we use the Coleman 4-in-1 Quickbed you can fit one of these in the 2xt and it's a single tenters camping dream. So one of these in the 3xt will fit two people comfortably.
+Very easy to set up +Top was a storage net/rack - Very handy for pocket stuff, phones, etc.. +Great rainfly - Horizontal rain doesn't stand a chance. Plus when it's pouring out you still have have the side window/doors all the way unzipped. +Comes with Stakes and Guyline for even greater stake down

Seems to be a good tentApr 13, 2011
By Snik Looks like I'm the first to review this tent. As far as I know, this is the 2011 update to the 2008 model Eureka Apex 2XT Adventure Two-Person Tent. This tent was just delivered to me today. There's still snow on the ground outside so I won't be camping in this for another month or so. I set the tent up inside to check everything out. Construction and build quality look to be good. There is room inside for two sleeping bags with pads. Don't expect to be keeping any other large items inside with you.
The whole package comes with the following:
main tent rain fly two fiberglass pole assemblies 8 metal stakes 4 guy wires gear loft
Assembly is very straightforward and you will have this up and ready in about 5 minutes. For the price, this tent is very good and I'm looking forward to using it.

Awesome tent, easy set up and tear down!Jun 20, 2011
By Thatgermangirl This tent is by far one of the best tents I have used. Set up is quick and easy, the product is lightweight and affordable. PLENTY of space for 2 people, very breathable and you can actually fit it back in the bag when you are done! So glad I decided to go with this one!

Great tent bad WarrantyJan 17, 2012
By Texasfemale Bought this tent for my Webelos Scout in Nov.. Had great reviews, it's advertised in the BSA magazine, had to be good. The tent itself is easy to put up, awesome rainfly, horrible customer service. Hubby seam sealed it twice and rain guarded it. The second time it was set up... it leaked. You could see pin holes in the corner that it leaked, like the needle used to stitch it was too big. Sent it back to Eureka they are now sending me MY tent back. According to them... must have been condensation ( no one in the tent condensation does not freely drip), must have been the way the footprint was layed out... Going with a Coleman Hooligan next time.
