5Very PleasedJun 02, 2009
By Vera Lynn "VLizzle"
I purchased this tent to host a baby shower. I was going to rent a tent, but this cost the same to purchase so I figured why not just buy it. This tent went beyond meeting my expectations. It did take a bit of time to assemble (just me and the hubby) but that is because we took our time and made sure we read the instructions. I am amazed at how sturdy it is. The seller indicates that it is NOT waterproof and NOT windproof, just water resistent, however, the day after we setup the tent with had winds of 30-40 mph and very heavy rain and the tent survived without any problems at all. The tent comes very well packaged and all parts are labeled to make things easier for you. It does come with a very nice storage bag as well.

5Great tent, attractive, sturdy, easy to set upFeb 26, 2010

This tent can be set up by one person, although two makes it quicker and easier. We've used it for gatherings at our home, including for our garden wedding, and toted it a number of times to use it as a camping tent at special summer events. In Summer we attend 3-day-weekend events that involve being up all night, then sleeping during the day. A typical camping tent just does not have enough air flow to make daytime sleeping comfortable in July and August. Ths tent provides a ton of air, a ton of shade, and plenty of room for our super-sized cots, cooler, camp chairs, etc. Sure, this is an unconventional use... but everyone looks on with envy when they see us camping in luxurious-pavillion comfort... and it is little to no extra work. We're big, tall people, and we are simply not comfortable camping if we have to sleep on a 1" foam mattress on the ground in a teensy tent, so this tent makes us VERY happy.

We love the fact that it has no floor, so there is nothing to sweep out. We've used it in rainstorms a number of time, no leak problems at all.

We're going to be purchasing our third of these tents this year. Our first was damaged by tornado-severe winds (the canvas and screening were fine, but the poles were irreparably damaged by being tumbled across the lawn). Our second set of poles were damaged when we foolishly left the tent erect during a severe rainstorm... a bathtub-full of water weight was collected in the roof canvas and the poles buckled beneath the weight.

On both tents, the webbing that holds the D-rings at the roof corners (for the guide lines that you use to stake it down) tends to wear away and break the first or second year. We used the tents several years afterwards with no guide lines, and no trouble with stability, although we did not encounter high winds during those summers.

Highly recommended.

5Party tent- this was a great dealAug 07, 2010
By Gary
I was looking for a lighter colored tent, since the party was going to be held on one of the hottest days of the summer in an already hot year. The reviews for what appeared to be an identical light tan tent were uniformly horrible, so I looked at this dark green one, which had gotten excellent reviews. They were right. I had a helper (that is a necessity) but though I expected more time, it took us less than an hour to set it up. It became very breezy in the afternoon, with no effect on the tent. It's size is perfect for a few tables, an outdoor birthday party, a crab feast, any kind of cookout, and provides shade and protection from insects if needed. When we took it down, it fit easily in the huge storage bag included, with room to spare. We took it down in about 1/2 hour, again, much less time than expected. I think this will be a family favorite for years to come, and I have already had requests to borrow the tent for fall gatherings. Well worth the cost.

4Good value, but have 3 people for setup/teardownJul 26, 2010
By M. Schaffer
We bought this tent for our son's first birthday party. It worked out great and was definitely worth the price.

Setup was a little tricky but doable. Most of the poles are in 3-4 sections which leads to more chance of them sliding apart while you stand it up. Seems like if they used longer sections it would be easier. But maybe they wanted to keep it compact when you collapse it, so I guess it's a trade off.

Just make sure you have 3 people together to set it up. Two would be tough, one would be impossible.
