Could use 2 more poles. Stakes are plastic - what a joke :)

Takes a minute to adjust it just right so it's sturdy. But once you get it, its great! We had zero issues. Stood up great to wind and rain. Poles are much nicer than you would think. However, be prepared to have extra steaks on hand, they dont give you any extra, and I garauntee you, you will break at least one when you drive it into the ground the first time. Not a big deal though, well worth the price!!!

The quality of this product is great! Of course it is a Coleman product, so you can't really go wrong. I have owner many Coleman product in the past, and if you are familiar with this company, then you know the quality that you are getting. The only non-positive thing that I need to mention about this 4-Pole Sun Shade, is that the measurements in the description, are a little mis-leading. It is not an exact rectangle. The width measurement is only that wide in the very center of the canopy. Then it gets narrower towards the front and the back. I bout this with the impression that it was a rectangle, and it turned out to be a hexagon. This was not ideal for the very particular project that I used it for, but if you are just planning on using it at the beach, or part for shade, it is probably perfect. Especially for the price!

Excellent tarp, good poles, functinal rope, lousy stakesAug 29, 2011

This tarp worked very well for a week-long base camp in heavy winds and gusts. It's a bit tricky to set up with only one person; two can manage it fine. The combination of poles and lines make it very stable and secure. The size is generous and covers a lot of useable space underneath. The rope that comes with the package is strong and functional, but of a cheap material, lousy to the touch, and a bit short for reaching to trees and such. The stakes are lousy plastic disposable junk, so I supplemented both the rope and the stakes with my own and had no problems. The price is excellent even if you add some good 550 cord and some heavy steel stakes to the effort. I'd buy another without hesitation.

GREAT SUN SHADE/TARP. KEPT US TOTALY DRY IN OUR COLEMAN 8 PERSON TENT- (THAT LEAKS,TENT ONLY 2 YEARS OLD.)LARGE ENOUGH TO COVER A BIG TENT.WELL MADE . COULD USE TWO MORE POLES.
