I've always been bothered by my head being outside of the sleeping bag on whatever surface is above it - pillow, air mat, tent floor, etc. For that reason I thought these "Scoop" bags by Coleman would perfectly solve the problem. I first tried the Calgary version, which was WAY too short for me. See my review on that product. The Sabine came out and was bigger, and seemed like it would do the job, so I tried it. It's definitely better, but still not great.
The issue is that to get the "scoop" at the top of the bag Coleman essentially just cut part of the top of the bag off, so the top of the bag is actually shorter than you would find on a comparable rectangle bag. As a result, for those of us who are taller, the bag isn't quite long enough. I'm almost 6', and it comes about up to my chin while laying on my back. If I sleep on my stomach with my toes out, it's actually a little short--just to my shoulders. On top of that there isn't a way to pull the opening tight (no drawstring) so a lot of cold air gets in.
A few other points:
* the material is very comfortable. If you are shorter it would probably be great.
* the workmanship seems good
* Unlike Coleman's rectangular bags, this bag doesn't have an integrated cover. You have to be careful where you set it or it will get dirty.
* the weight and size seem good in comparison to its warmth.
Lastly, I just bought my wife the Coleman Castle Peak sleeping bag, which is essentially the same except it has the regular square top and it has an integrated cover. It's also cheaper. I'd really recommend that instead.

I'm a plus-sized woman and have been shivering with my sleeping bag zipped open over me like a blanket. No more! This bag is plenty large enough for me to burrow into its soft, fluffy interior and enjoy being wrapped in warmth! I love that my head can be warm while my face is uncovered (so I can breathe!).
I can finally enjoy camping again!

Very comfortable down to 20 degrees like it says. Roomy, could use a little extra height. Rated for 6'4". I'm 6'1" and I can't get my shoulders in all the way when I lay on my stomach. That would be my only complaint. Otherwise, one of the best sleeping bags I've ever owned.

If you're looking for a comfy 5-pound bag, the Sabine may be on your short list. 5-pounds will keep you warm down into the 30's. If you're camping in the 30's or 40's and you opt for a 3-pound bag that is rated at 30-50 degrees, you're actually going to be cold. I would use the upper end of the temperature scale as a barometer.
That being said, I had to return this bag. I'm a 5'10" slim-built male, and I can't recommend this bag to anyone taller than say, 5'8".
The length is NOT 84" as advertised. It is roughly 75" (I measured). The FUNCTIONAL length (from the end to the scoop opening) is only about 62" once you account for the length taken away by the depth of a person laying inside. So in short, unless 62" is enough length to cover your neck and shoulders, I would avoid purchasing this bag or any other "scooped" Coleman bag for that matter.
The width of the bag is 38".
