5Comfy Bag, GREAT PriceJul 19, 2011
By RavenFan69
OK, so I have sleeping bags for our family of four in all shapes and sizes, EXCEPT for me. I am a little taller than 6'2" and about 200lbs. I have a winter bag that fits me just fine, but have struggled finding a bag for warmer weather to fit me.
Well, this one does!
The whole family went camping in PA on July 4th weekend. All of our friends took sheets and blankets for sleeping gear. I'm more old fashioned.....if your not in a sleeping bag, then you are just sleeping outside and not camping.
The weather was warm. A little too warm, but on one of the nights it dropped into the 50's. Another night, into the 60's and the third night....ouch...the 70's.
This bag performed well. The colder nights, I actually got into my bag and stayed warm, but wasn't too hot.
The interior of the bag was soft and comfortable. There was plent of room to move around, especially for me because I'm a restless sleeper and toss around a lot.
This bag was VERY roomy. I love it!
The warmest night, I just opened it up and used it like a blanket, because, like I said, the interior is very soft and comfy, not scratchy, like a lot of bags are. I also have a problem with some of the synthetic material that other manufacturers use on the interior of bags because they don't breathe well and then you sweat. I had no such problems with this bag.
Bottom line: If you are a bigger/taller person, or just someone who wants some extra room, this is the PERFECT warm weather bag.
Inexpensive and built well. The zippers are super cool and have these special guides on them to avoid snags. VERY COOL.
Do yourself a favor and try this bag out, you'll love it!
Thanks to other reviews....which weren't many, I took a gamble and bought two. I am so glad I did. My wife loved the extra room and we will use these for spring and early fall camping for years to come.
Thanks Coleman!!

This sleeping bag is quite comfortable and warm. Throughout the night I had to uncover myself various times due to how well it kept in the warmth. If it would have been just a little bigger it would have been perfect. I had bought a (Coleman Willow Creek Warm-Weather Scoop Sleeping Bag) for my wife and she was quite happy with it, although she said that mine was better. I recommend both of these sleeping bags and if I needed to I would buy two more.

5Very nice large sleeping bagJun 23, 2011

This is a great sleeping bag for taller people (I'm 6'3) or someone who just wants more room. I like the feel of the fabric and the zipper slides perfectly. It rolls up nice and tight and is easy to pack. I also like the fact that the zipper at the bottom of the bag can be opened to create ventilation with having to unzip the side.

3Not long enough...Jul 17, 2011

Other reviewers seem to like this sleeping bag but I mostly don't for a few reasons. I agree with another reviewer about their dislike of the fuzzy material that lines the bag. It catches the rough skin on your feet and is irritating when you try to move your feet. Since I didn't want to keep this bag I tried to offer it to my wife but she didn't want it and said she didn't like the liner material either. Another point I don't like about the bag is that it seems lower quality. When I got in the bag and lifted it to the light I could see patches of bright spots through the bag indicating that the filler material wasn't evenly distributed. Also, the stitching seems low quality and the thread was weak and some places had threads hanging off. Yes, I might be a sleeping bag snob. I typically buy high quality mummy bags from REI but now I want a roomy, low price bag. Which leads me to my next point. The bag is not that long. It says it's for up 6'4" but when I got in it, and I'm 6'2", the bag only covered my shoulders, with my feet jammed at the bottom. I've never had a problem with a long bag being too short before. I could tell it would be a problem as soon as I was unrolled it. After rolling it back up I could see the problem another reviewer stated. The compression zipper on the bag is impossible to zip back up with the bag inside. Bad idea Coleman!

O.K. now let's talk about a few good points. I liked the no-snag zipper which was smooth and worked great. The extra zipper at the bottom so you could ventilate your feet was also nice. I also liked the extra pillow space at the top. I've never had a bag with that before.

So who should buy this bag? Here is my idea of the perfect person for this bag...You want to get a little better quality than a $15 Wal-Mart bag. You have smooth skin on your feet or you always wear socks to bed and don't want a really warm bag. You are shorter than 6 feet and want room to move when you sleep. And, you don't mind a fuzzy, grab anything (think rough skin, your beard, leaves, etc.) bag liner material. Hope this review helps you...

4Good sleeping bag.Jun 07, 2011
By yoyoman62002
The sleeping bag is excellent and comfortable with a very good zipper that will not snag. The stuff sack for this bag is crappy, what makes it bad is there is a built in zipper on the stuff sack that zips down the length of the sack and keeps the sleeping bag compressed. This is great since the bag will take up less space and is easier to get out once unzipped, but the zipper itself really sucks. You have to roll the bag super tight and try to put the bag in the stuff sack, with the zipper on the stuff sack zipped up, but the zipper on the stuff sack unzips as you stuff the sleeping bag in. Said zipper does not have any kind of locking system so you have to hold it with one hand and stuff the sleeping bag in the stuff sack with the other hand, this is very awkward. This is the only way to get the sleeping bag in the stuff sack with the stuff sack zipper closed. If you try to put the sleeping bag in and then zip the stuff sack you will find that this is impossible to do unless you have six hands to do it with. Overall I really like the sleeping bag but the stuff sack needs to be reworked.
