Great for Summer Tent CampingJul 07, 2009

Yes, the fan can be a little loud... but I LIKE that feature. When you're bike riding across the state of Iowa with 10,000 of your closest friends the fan can drown out all the little noises of your neighbors in their tents. But most importantly, it will keep you cool in the late July Iowa weather.
One of the best features of this fan over others like it, is that the battery pack plugs into the fan. When you break camp for the night you just unplug the battery pack and store it in your bags. With other fans the batteries remain in the fan and it is too easy for the switch to get bumped during travel leaving you with dead batteries at your next campsite.
A must have for your tent.

This rocks! Also can use an AC AdaptorApr 01, 2010

I got this and another fan 02 cool, this one really does the job for a small fan. It is a little noisy, but that helps to block out other people still up at other camp sites. Since it has a seperate battery pack, you can use an AC adapter, and it will run on the high setting, which is awesome. They should sell it with the adapter.

A poor design. Do not run on low fan speed.Feb 02, 2011
By Charles Belardi This fan has a poorly designed voltage regulating system to control fan speeds. Not only will it generate enough heat (on low speed) to burn the circuit board and resistor pack to render the fan inoperable but it could possibly get hot enough to start a fire. Mine lasted about an hour. Being an aircraft electrician, I decided to have a look inside the battery pack to find the source of the burning smell. The battery pack is easily disassembled removing 4 screws. The fan speeds are controlled by a switch attached to a circuit board which uses a series of load resistors. Inside my unit were burned resistors, burned circuit board, poor (cold) solder joints and poor craftsmanship in general. If you own one of these fans, you a certain to experience problems. Running the unit on high speed only is recommended if you decide to keep it. Running on low speed will shorten the lifespan significantly.

This camping ceiling fan worked so well. It is a must for the tent when it is hot, and you all know how tents get in the heat!!! This was amazing!!! I have camped for years and I have to admit that I was embarrassed at first for anyone to see that I had it, but I highly reccommend it.

Very noisy fanJun 20, 2009
By J. Carson This fan blows pretty hard, which is good, but it is very noisy. For people who are used to sleeping in a quiet environment, this could be too loud, especially on the high setting.
