UTILITY NETTINGJul 14, 2009
By Secesh Tim
"BackCountry Buyer"
I bought this to make for easier entry and exit to a screen room with too tight a zippered doorway. I used sticky backed velcro to attach it to the existing screen. My only complaint is the minimal edging is only at top and bottom, but that also makes it more utilitarian in a variety of ways.

Keep them pests outJun 24, 2010

Used this over my open sun roof while camping next to a lake full of mosquitoes. The net kept the pest out, but had to overlap it for greater protection and the reason I gave it only a four star.

only good for keeping out larger pests and tacking to a frameMay 11, 2010
By Ciaran This netting is really only good for something like an outside window frame. The weave leaves too much space in between to catch smaller bugs (~.07", using my micrometer) You would need to have this stuff spread pretty tight to keep a small bug from poking through.

A great emergency essentialAug 07, 2009
By Allan M. Lees Mosquitoes and other biting insects can make an overnight stay out-of-doors a miserable experience, especially if it's an unexpected night out, far from the comforts of tent or home. I hike in the wilderness with a survival bag (keeps the wind off, but doesn't really retain heat despite all the elaborate claims on the packet) and always take some netting along too. Not only does it mean I can sleep without being bitten all over my face and hands, but I can also use it (along with two branches) as a rudimentary net to catch fish from a river or lake. Along with a magnesium flint fire-starter, a sharp knife, and some parachute cord, mosquito netting makes life much easier and weighs hardly anything. In my opinion it's a must-have item for anyone who is going to spend one or more nights in the wilderness without the standard tent and sleeping bag, etc.
