This tent pole repair kit in cludes shock cord, two ferrules, six washers and a lead wire - but no instructions. I found the instructions easily by going to Coughlan's website, but including that one piece of paper in the package would have been a nice touch. Buying the kit lead me to seek the instructions, which include an illustration that helped me understand shock cord tent pole technology. All I wound up using from the kit was the lead wire (reusable) and one washer, so I have almost a full kit for next time. Good product. Thanks!

This product was exactly what I needed to repair the pole of my tent. Very hard to find in stores but I did find a local store (after much searching) as one was not long enough for my tent pole. Could come in a longer length so it would fit larger tents but I used two and tied them together.

The metal ferrule in the tent pole repair kit fit the tent pole being repaired perfectly. The kit is inexpensive and is valuable to have on a campout.

This kit did provide me with the materials I needed to salvage my shock pole. However, I did have some problems with the wire used to feed the cord through the pole. Since there were no instructions, I did what I thought was right, but I ended up having to use a pair of pliers to pull the loop out of the wire that I had made so I could feed it through the next section. Otherwise, there were kinks that wouldn't make it through my poles. Perhaps the openings on my poles were smaller than others or perhaps there was a better way. I didn't bother to look up instructions as one astute reviewer mentioned as it seemed straightforward. The instructions might have shown me a way to do it more easily.
