Best bike commuting helmet, at a great priceJun 20, 2007
By Thomas D. Kehoe I've used a lot of bicycle helmets over the last 30 years. The Bell Faction is the best commuting helmet. It's one of the only helmets that you can put a rear-view mirror onto. The helmet seems safer than because the vents are smaller, the shell is thicker, and the helmet comes down further in the back and on the sides. I've never felt hot wearing this helmet. I wouldn't want to wear it on a five-mile climb on a 90-degree day, but for riding around town it's fine. In the winter I tape over the vents and stuff the vents with foam. Below 20 degrees I wish it had a fleece liner, but next winter I'll figure out how to make one.

Very SatisfiedDec 17, 2008
By Kt I just got this helmet delivered to me about 20 minutes ago. The design is great, and it fits my head perfectly. They provide extra pads (thin and thick, medium is the defult) so you can adjust. If you don't like the BELL logo on the helmet, you can easily take it off as it is just a sticker. Mine left no sticky residue or anything, and it looks great. They provide you with an extra sticker, too.
This properly protects my forehead, as well as the back of my head. If you are not sure what size to get, go to their website and they tell you how to properly measure your head size, and provide a size chart. That's what I did, and got a good fit.

COMFORT! STYLE! QUALITY!Aug 10, 2008

This is THE best bicycle helmet I have ever had. I ordered it for in Baghdad Iraq, because the ones AAFES sells are junk. I can't believe how comfortable it is. It is VERY cushy in the top. It makes me feel much safer with the side protection. Other guys keep asking me where I got it, so I know it looks good too!

More protection, and it doesn't look geeky!Aug 29, 2009

This was reccomended by the local bicyle shop, because he said it gave more protection than the standard bike helmet I already owned. It is comfortable, and it looks a lot better. Even my sons (19 & 21), their friends, who refuse to wear helmets, and my wife agreed.
I also took some Jogalite Silver reflective tape, and styled the back of the black helmet to be light reflective, as an extra safety precaution. Just a little tape placed near rear vents looks like it was designed with the helmet, and doesn't look nerdy.

Feels good, looks goodAug 07, 2008
By Cliff This helmet is comfortable, and when I street skate wearing it, I forget I have it on my head. Mine is charcoal gray, and when I look in the mirror with it on, it makes my face look better than with it off.
