5Perfect!Oct 23, 2010
By K. Cummings
We purchased this tent for a family party. The set up was very easy -my husband and I did it in less than an hour. We had help from our 16 year old daughter at the end when we needed to put the last legs on. It is helpful for balance. It was perfect for our use and looked far better than I expected for the money. The side pieces are great because they velcro on and you can take them on and off easily. We set it up a couple weeks ago and will leave it up until Thanksgiving. We have had some wind and a few days of rain...no problem! We hung white light and hanging stars inside and it looks beautiful.

3Cheap but CheapOct 13, 2010

Well I guess you do get what you pay for. I purchased three of these bad boys for a large outdoor event. Even purchased some leg weights. So here is the lowdown:

The Good
* Looked good
* Windows were neat
* CHEAP!

The Bad
* Had to use duct tape to hold many of the poles together
* Took a while to set up.
* Blew down in a very light breeze (about 5 mph wind) even with the leg weights. See more below.
* Was pretty much one use since many of the poles broke.

I tied the tents together and had a set of 4 weights. Maybe if I had 4 more it would have been enough to hold it down. The spikes they give you are useless. Get leg weights and maybe some stakes and rope.

But it is still cheaper than renting one.

5Add a few twiks and it's perfectMar 06, 2011

The package arrived on my doorstep at about 4:00 p.m. and after reading the other reviews I took it out and started taping the joints on all the frame poles with white electrical tape. I put the whole frame up by myself in less than an hour, it went together easy. We were expecting a lot of wind that night so I waited to put the cover on until the next day. I again put the whole cover on by myself in about half an hour and it looked beautiful. it stood for three days prior to the event and endured wind gusts of about 20 miles an hour without any problems. I hung "midway lights" from the frame and used electric heaters inside along with 6 4' round tables and it worked perfect. I would recommend this to anyone wanting an event tent for performance and appearance. This tent isn't the highest quality tent but for the money it worked great and I already have friends wanting to borrow it.

5Beautiful. Pretty easy set-up and take down.Sep 27, 2010

Bought this for my wife's baby shower. Very easy to set-up and take down with 2-3 people. Took about 20 minutes for the set-up, including taking all the parts out of the box and looking at instructions (I think that's pretty good for my first time. Should go faster next time). The tent looked beautiful and elegant! My wife loved it! And, so did everyone else. It was very spacious -- we had tables and chairs set up for about 50 people. About 30 people were there, and they all fit comfortably and the tent could've accommodated more. It was a hot summer day (about low 90's), and the tent kept us shaded and cool. We didn't use the side panels to keep the air circulating, but I'm sure those would be handy in certain conditions. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase and can't wait to use it again at our next event. Would definitely recommend this!

4Performed Well. Weak Plastic JointsDec 03, 2010
By BellaBabe
Took this to Burning Man so I was expecting a lot from the get go. However, from the description I thought I was getting a steel-framed structure and this definitely was a lightweight, MAYBE steel-coated but definitely more like aluminum structure. That said, the bars felt quite strong and held up well. The joints, however, are plastic. Why? I dont know.

The second time we set this up we had a very hard time actually getting all the joints to fit together at the same time. Funny, because the first time everything was okay. I duct taped every single joint as I went and the thing actually held great for a whole week.

I did not use the side coverings. I did use the roof. Great at the price point.
